Ruth Gleans in the Field of Boaz
The widowed Ruth follows Naomi to Bethlehem and supports them by gathering grain left behind by harvesters. Her loyalty and humble labor attract the notice of Boaz, who protects her and orders his workers to leave extra grain. Through lawful responsibility and mutual kindness, Boaz later becomes her kinsman-redeemer and husband. Ruth’s ordinary faithfulness opens an unexpected future and places her within the lineage of David. The story promises that patient goodness can be noticed without self-promotion.
