Abraham Welcomes Three Strangers
In Genesis, Abraham saw three travelers near the oaks of Mamre and hurried to offer water, rest, bread, and a generous meal before knowing the full meaning of their visit. The strangers announced that Sarah would bear a son, turning hospitality into an encounter with divine promise. Abraham’s open tent became a symbol of kindness that invites blessing. The episode teaches that generosity offered without calculation may prepare the way for good news whose consequences extend beyond one lifetime.
