Antony Stays with Cleopatra
When hearts incline toward one another, judge not too soon, nor bind too fast. What seems well-matched in station and desire may yet bring sorrow greater than gain.
Wait for the season when true accord is born; rushing in haste may lead to endless regret.
Good tidings come in time, not by insistence; what is truly yours will find you in due course.
Be patient, be prudent, and let wisdom guide- only then will joy and harmony be yours.
Do not force what is not meant to be; the right time and the right one will come to you.
Antony Chooses Cleopatra
Mark Antony’s alliance and love affair with Cleopatra VII bound Roman politics to the Egyptian court. Their partnership produced children and a shared eastern strategy, but it also alienated opinion in Rome and gave Octavian a powerful weapon. Antony remained with Cleopatra as rivalry hardened into civil war, and defeat at Actium led to their deaths. The story is not simply about passion: it asks whether attraction, loyalty, timing, and public duty truly agree. A bond entered without clear judgment can become both magnificent and ruinous.
